Sounds of the Ancient World – Part 1. Subsequent to the successful release of ‘The Kilmartin Sessions’ recordings in 1998, John Purser was asked by K.P.M. Music to use some of the tracks for a sound library album entitled, ‘Sounds of the Ancient World – Part One’. The distinctive voices of the reproduction ancient instruments were missed with orchestral sounds to make them suitable for inclusion in film and television soundtrack. Many of these recordings may be heard to this day in historical and exploratory documentaries.
